VIP madness in Japan
September 19, 2010
On Saturday, I had to cover 2 events and a photoshoot for my blog and juststance.com. Really long day, but I had a lot of fun. As you guys know, 7stock was going on at Irvine and it was huge! Most of the shows that are dedicated for a certain company has a good turnout. For the Scion event that happend at Longo, more than 300 cars showed up and the result for 7stock was pretty much the same. The whole parking lot of Mazda North America Corporate HQ Center was full of Mazda's. Almost all the rotaries in SoCal showed up. Even people from out of states came as well.
I took photos of rotaries that were modded to my liking because there were too many cars and half of them were just stock. I took a different step when editing the photos for this event. I added a lot of vibrance and it came out ... pretty bad :) but hope you guys like it.
A lot of side events were going on. What you guys see are people watching a tech teaching "how to build an engine." I didn't watch it, but heard it was pretty awesome.
Anyways, to the cars that were displayed in front of the entrance.
Never seen those rims but the overall look was dam sick..
Because there are too many pics of cars, I might just skip without a description.
Advans! I love these rims!
This car was tight. It had carbon fiber doors and other CF parts.
Can't dislike Enkei RPF1's
CCW's on a RX7. F'in WIN!
The gold center finished SSR MS1's looked pretty good.
The girl at the left looked familiar..i think she was working for the SmartWax booth @ Shakotan..
Inside the parking lot. Place was PACKED!
Weather was cold and cloudy. Pictures came out pretty dark...
A lot of the cars that you guys see were at JCCS. Very clean and well built.
Thought those were real Brides but nope! Clean engine bay though..
Another engine bay was polished up!
V-mount intercooler!! This setup is usually for drifters. It costs...about...$3k.
Mad concave rims. 5Zigens if I remember correctly.
Best RX8 of the show and he's from Lowballers.
Nicely painted RX8. Liking it a lot.
I don't know why, but I'm not a fan of the matching color strip of the rim.
o what??? NICE!
yea...it was huge...
If insurance for coupes were cheap, I would buy this car right now.
That's what I'm talking about. BBS's on a RX7.
Volks but don't know what series..
Very clean and sexy~
Wrapped up front lip...not a fan..but unique so giving the owner props..
Another V-mount intercooler. This guy had some quality stuff for his engine.
One parking lot was full with RX-8's. I liked this one...
One of the race cars...
The RX-7 I did a coverage on couple of days ago. He just got this hood from Japan. Trust me..you can't find this in the U.S. or anywhere else.
Red RX-7's are sooo nice...
If only the lambo doors were gone....but the rims were good stuff. Gram Lights 57 Pros..I miss my old wheels :)
This car says "quality" all around it..
That hood looks pretty darn good..
Work XD9's and a different style CF hood.
Now you guys know I'm a fan of BBS's and I own a set as well, but this car does not look good with BBS RS's at all. Very different..but not a fan..
Work Meisters. I saw A LOT of them.
The owner should've gotten lower offset Enkei's.
I think this car had BBS style 5's. Not a fan as well...
A lot of people around this car...
If you are a fan of classic rotaries, you missed out big time :)
Axis wheels~ Saw these in person and they look ok..
Yakima rack~ Should I get one??
This car was the shietttt~ Reminded me of the green silvia I did a coverage on 2 days ago.
Some rare wheels on this car. Reminded me of Infinit wheels (Check out their site! On the left site under Blogroll)
Nicely finished SSR's.
Why are these cars so long????
Back to some classic cars...
man...these cars were REALLY clean..
My FAVORITE classic car. Datsun~~~ It was really really awesome to see this in person..
Classic trucks :)
I'm having a difficult time now comparing real Volk ce28n's and Rotas...This one had real ones...thank you..
Walked back out and found Urban Racer. Check out their website~ good stuff~
Seen these guys too many times haha. Props!
After checking out all the car, I went to the parking lot to check out other cars. Here's a sneak peak of the cars I'll be doing coverages on very soon. :D
OK! so that's about it. I didn't put all the photos for this coverage so just check out my Flickr.
