Night-Import: Photography by Andy Nguyen
Instead of taking photos alone, walking around and taking photos with another photographer is much better and less boring. Andy Nguyen, our site photographer, tagged along to take some drifting shots at Gymkhana. Although he left early, before the final rounds, he took some epic shots during the practice and qualifying rounds.
Andy was busting out his photography skills, running back and forth to get the best spots.
Instead of the Mustang, Vaughn Gittin Jr. drove this classic Ford.
Vaughn vs. Tony during the qualifying rounds.
Don't underestimate by the look of a car. This 1978 Ford Escort MK2 is faster than you think. FYI, it was Ken Block's old car.
Tony Brakohiapa taking that sharp turn on his 650HP Mustang.
Forgot the drivers name but this beauty ended up with a smashed taillight and a bent exhaust.
Toshiki Yoshioka's Driftspeed S15. The sexiest looking S15 ever!
Kyle Mohan's 91 RX-7.
All these drivers from Formula D did pretty well.
Cody doing his thing.
Tanner Foust was killing it!
Ross Petty came in later with his BOSO S14.
Tony's Mustang died out during the mid-rounds.
Matt Power's S14 bumper flew in the air but that didn't stop him from completing the course.
I think Tony Smith drove this STI by Crawford Performance. To be honest, this car was not drifting at all :(
Once again, Vaughn Gitten Jr.
Calvin Wan was killing those turns.
Michael Essa's V10 BMW 350R was amazing.
Patrick Mourdant's 350Z.
Where's Ken Block??
The sound of this RX-8 is still ringing in my ears.
Why is this S15 so sexy?

Here are some shots of John Russakoff's AE86. Another great drifter.
Photographers were trying to get those spots for best shots.
Awesome photos by Andy Nguyen once again. It's not all about what camera one has, but the one shooting the camera. Great work!
